HAAR // THE INFERNAL SEA // BLIND SPITE

Inverted Grim-Mill Recordings Presents:

HAAR

Haar from Edinburgh was formed in 2008 with the ambition to create challenging and idiosyncratic black metal. Their sound is defined by a generous measure of dissonance, a progressive approach to songwriting and a palette of sounds that includes death and doom metal influences. Lyrical subject matter is typically rooted in a study of ontology and human nature.

THE INFERNAL SEA

From the fens of Eastern England, The Infernal Sea's style is rooted in the traditional black metal sound. Not afraid to experiment and push the boundaries, they bring an eclectic mix of influences to their sound. Their intense live performances have carved them into something unique and terrifying.

BLIND SPITE

Blind Spite fuse the atmospherics and vitriol of black metal with the brutality of death metal to create an uncompromising and expansive take on the human condition and the vast uncaring universe we inhabit.

BYKER GRAVE 2014

Inverted Grim-Mill Recordings and Omega Warfare Records present

BYKER GRAVE FESTIVAL 2014

Saturday 29th of November, 3pm - 11pm, The Globe, Newcastle Upon Tyne

What Started last year as a last minute replacement for the cancelled Northern Darkness festival and, by all acounts, turned into a triumph of mess and metal, Byker Grave is back for a second edition! This time around, the line-up features a selection of hand-picked bands representing the best of the North East and UK underground scenes.

Tickets are available now for £10 in advance from:

WODENSTHRONE

Currently taking a break from live shows to concentrate on their third album, the North Eastern black metallers return for a one-off UK performance to warm-up for a US festival appearance.

AGELESS OBLIVION

New album Penthos has received praise from all over the place, perhaps in part to the Century Media machine behind it. Hailed as everything from "the future of metal" (by Metal Hammer) to "really fucking good" (by James Hill / Omega Warfare Records), don't miss the chance to see them at an intimate venue while you can.

SEA BASTARD

Making waves across the UK, Brighton-based feedback worshippers Sea Bastard will be heading up to Newcastle for the first time.

BAST

With upcoming appearances at Damnation and Roadburn alongside a Terrorizer "band of the day" feature, we are very much looking forward to welcoming London blackened doom band Bast to the Byker Grave stage.

VACIVUS

Forming from the ashes of local death metal favourites Dawn of Chaos, Vacivus will be performing a debut show at Byker Grave.

BARSHASKETH // WODE // BLIND SPITE

INVERTED GRIM-MILL RECORDINGS & TYRANT PRESENT

BARSHASKETH

Barshasketh formed in New Zealand during the mid-2000′s and in 2009 released two demo tapes: the self-titled debut recorded 2007 and As Flesh Becomes Earth recorded 2008. The demos were followed by a full-length tape in February of 2010 and founding member Krigeist relocated to Scotland. With the debut album, Defying the Bonds of Cosmic Thraldom, Barshasketh began to crystallise it’s unique approach. A sound which has been compared to Peste Noire and Wolves in the Throne Room: traditional atmospheric black metal with technical abilities far beyond the majority of bands in this arena.
